学术上主要从事临床试验、医学统计和因果推断方面的理论和应用研究，在Journalof Multivariate Analysis，Statistica Sinica,Scandinavian Journal of Statistics, Biostatistics, The Lancet Diabetes &Endocrinology等多个期刊上发表多篇论文，在因果作用的异质性研究、替代指标悖论、工具变量、观察性数据研究等多个方向均有较为深入的研究。为Journal of the American Statistical Association,Statistics in Medicine,BMC Medical Research Methodology, Journal of the American Heart Association等杂志审稿人。临床应用上，深度参与TREND（已发表在JAMA neurology上）、RICH-2、OPENS-4等大型研究的实验设计和统计分析。
